Welcome to Florida where you now have a license to kill.
It’s that time again. Time to attack the “sunshine” state. It’s no coincidence that the world is full of so many Florida jokes. It would take you years to hear them all. Florida has not lost it’s title as “The Most Corrupt State.” They are still going strong down there in what is supposed to be a vacation spot. Florida has ended up more like a third world war zone and that is never more evident then during a live trial. Florida juries and whatever that thing is that they call a system of justice, have taken a lot of well deserved heat and apparently they like it, because they keep topping themselves.
A man named Curtis Reeves who is a former Florida police captain, leaves a movie theatre in Tampa, walks to his car and retrieves a gun. He then purposely walks back into the theatre and shoots an unarmed father in the chest, killing him, because he was texting his little girl and Reeves didn’t like it.
An arrogant and violent man named Michael Dunn pulls into a convenience store drunk and confrontational. Dunn is put out over the fact that 4 unarmed teenage boys won’t turn down their music. He expects them to oblige him, even though he’s only going to be there a few minutes because he doesn’t like the sound of it. When one of the boys challenges him, instead of moving his car, Dunn coldly pulls a gun and shoots into the door of the car killing the teenager instantly. As the other boys try to escape, Dunn exits his vehicle and continues to fire at the kids. All in all he fires 10 rounds into the retreating vehicle.
A puffed up vigilante named George Zimmerman, see’s someone walking in the rain and he doesn’t like the way this person looks. He aggressively stalks the unarmed figure who turns out to be a teenage boy. The boy, Trayvon Martin, was walking to the store to get some skittles. After stalking him for a while Zimmerman creates a confrontation. During the course of that confrontation he draws a loaded weapon and murders the boy in cold blood.
To those of us on the outside looking in, over the past 5 years, Florida for all practical purposes, has become haven for criminals and a virtual shooting gallery that knows no boundaries. To add to the problem, Florida juries have become a national embarrassment and a late night joke. The stand your ground laws in Florida basically give anyone willing to lie a license to kill. You shoot anyone who gets in your way or bothers you in the least…then you get a “professional” to help you pick the 12 most brain dead, ignorant, dirty, apathetic thick people you can find and lie to them. Just invent a gun. Just invent an attack. Just invent the fear.
On July 7 2011, the nation was forced to watch in disbelief and horror as 12 Pinellas County Floridians broke the rules of sequestration, talked on their cell phones to agents, discussed evidence during the trial, made media deals, mis-applied the law, ignored evidence, refused to deliberate, ignored the medical examiner and every scientist and policer officer who testified. They instead chose to believe a pathological liar, with not a shred of evidence. They performed logical backbends and illegal gyrations so that they could set a baby killer back out into society and put other innocent lives in danger. A sickening spectacle that exposed at least one of Florida’s courtrooms as an incestuous hotbed of bribery, witness tampering, evidence tampering, jury tampering and perjury.
A cast of characters emerged that was worthy of any ghoulish movie script and the Florida legal system was exposed as being a complete sham all the way down the line.
We now know. There is no justice in Florida and no laws in a Florida courtroom. You can literally get away with anything there.
And the problem gets worse.
If you live in Florida and you don’t like the way someone looks, it’s legal to grab a loaded weapon and stalk them. You can shoot in cold blood and claim self defense. You can actually change your story a few times if you don’t like the first one you came up with and that’s ok too, because it’s Florida.
From my view, now anyone in Florida should be able to murder Zimmerman, no problem. He’s known to carry a loaded weapon, stalk and shoot innocent citizens that he finds suspicious and poses a clear threat to everyone he encounters. Who wouldn’t fear for their life seeing George Zimmerman walking towards them? The man is a vigilante and a real threat to everyone around him exactly like Casey Anthony is.
I’d bet everything I have that we have not heard the last of either one of them and it’s because Florida places absolutely no value on the lives of even its most innocent citizens. If George Zimmerman kills again the blood will be on the jury’s hands. If Casey Anthony kills another child…the 12 pinheads who twisted, contorted and broke the law will have that child’s blood on their hands.
And what of Michael Dunn? People on twitter were physically sick, thinking about a jury in Florida entrusted with this clear and obvious decision. It’s an absolute disgrace that juries in this country are hand picked by “jury consultants” who are looking for the lowest common denominator in a state that apparently has more then it’s fair share of idiots.
Now I realize that there are many wonderful folks in Florida. I used to live there myself but that’s how I know that Florida is full of criminals.
I was standing in the check out line at the Publix one day back in 1996. I came down to Florida, to visit my Grandmother who lived in Ormond Beach at the time. There was a story on the front page about two tourists who were shot and robbed as they unloaded their luggage at the motel. As I read I felt a tap on my shoulder. The little old lady behind me looked at the article I was reading and said (and I quote)…
“Isn’t that terrible? I don’t know what we are going to do. Lord we get all kinds of trash coming down here to live and passing through.”
Yes you do Florida…because it’s cheap…it’s warm…and it’s America’s most corrupt state. Criminals love it down there and the stats bear me out.
