Jodi Arias…stalker/accused killer…taking a page
from the Anthony handlers? The “green puffy shirt-look” appears to be semi-effective in the case of Arias where it was an utter fail in Anthony’s case.
I have tried to avoid the Jodi Arias trial…mainly because of the media talking heads who are covering it.
That being said it’s very hard not to notice that Jodi Arias is taking pages from the “handler’s” of child killer Casey Anthony.
The “Baby Jane Hudsen”/meets “Sister Wives”/meets “Psycho Holly Hobby” prototype version of the “green puffy sleeved shirt-look for killers on trial” (watch out…she’s about to blow)…not so effective.
“Child killer? Why…look at my clothes… I’m as innocent as a prairie girl… making potpourri… in my little house…on the prairie!”
I have news for Jodi Arias…she better get out the checkbook if she wants her trial to work out like it did in the worst case of criminal behavior by a defense team that I have ever seen.
I have slowly been drawn into the Jodi Arias case…have seen the crime scene photos… heard the defendant’s constantly changing story…watched some of her testimony and been surprised by her steady and calm demeanor.
After watching murderer Casey Anthony have temper tantrums, make faces, give the finger to the camera, giggle uncontrollably, create scenes in court, primp, laugh, fidget, fake cry, pick, poke, scratch and act for all the world as if she never progressed past the age of 2…it is a stark contrast to watch Arias.
But perhaps that is one of the things that makes this crime so offensive. This defendant is not babbling on about herself showing everyone what a psycho she really is. She is carefully calculating every single thing she does in that courtroom.
She is not sticking her tongue out and picking at her nose and eyes, flipping people off and making crazy faces.
The true brutality of what actually happened to Travis Alexander.
Several things leap out at me about the way they are trying to “package” this “new killer.”
“That’s right…I am VERY intelligent…so you all better watch out because there’s no way a jury will find me guilty…as long as I wear a green puffy shirt… sloppy sweaters… and glasses…ok?”
Arias is apparently copying the stylist (paid professional or amateur team member?) that was used in the Anthony trial…and she’s coming off far better then Anthony did…that’s for sure.
It is so similar as to almost feel like a parody….and makes her look more guilty in my opinion. This kind of blatant manipulation should be insulting to jurors…and has certainly proven ineffective to a trial watching audience.
This is what guilty women do…they take off their partying clothes and put on ”puffy green shirts” and imitate other guilty people who have gotten away with murder.
So will this be in any way effective?
In spite of her crimes Jodi Arias’s attorney has a better raw material to work with then Jose Baez did.
Perhaps the reason it looks better on Arias…is because Arias is smart enough to do what she is told and Anthony is not?
Clearly a bastardization of something ”someone else” chose for “slut mom.” I guess it just wasn’t “sexy” enough for her so she came up with this…ahhhhh…let’s call it a “concoction.” Major fail.
Dirty… sloppy… lazy… stupid… killer… wearing clothes that are as sloppy as she is. That’s right killer…hide those hands.

Arias has her seat screwed down to the ground …as the Skank did!! The defense compared Arias’ height and weight to Travis Alexander’s and LIED about her HEIGHT…they claimed 5’4″, where her drivers license, clearly states that she is 5’6″ to what END, though? So, they can CLAIM, that’s she too TINY, to commit the MURDER, she has already confessed, to have COMMITTED??
Although, some may not think it’s funny, I can’t help but laugh as I remember that Bozo AND $indy tried to convince people that the Skank COULDN’T have CARRIED, two year old, Caylee to the swamp, by herself!!?? As I think back to raising MY children, what if I had to call in “reinforcements” every time, that “I” had to LIFT A TWO YEAR OLD!!!
I’m glad that you held back, didn’t watch the Arias trial and the coverage from the beginning…watch all the comparisons between her case, and the Skank’s!! I’m sure the Skank had a front row seat, NOT that she was interested in ANYTHING, but hearing her OWN name being mentioned!!! They would make reference to the Skank case and regardless of what aspect of the case they were discussing, whether it be to guilt, or attorney’s playing dirty, or jury’s being idiotic or a witness lying their asses off, they would say…”We don’t want ANOTHER…(eye roll) followed by a guttural…Hehehehehe…. They DO discuss what she is wearing, and make a lot mentions about her GLASSES!! Why does she wear them NOW, when she NEVER wore them before…just sunglasses!! To make her appear SMART? She already, appears smart, she’d very articulate. To make her appear weak, vulnerable? Possibly? I’ve noticed one thing about her, SINCE the murder, every picture of her, her eyes are shark-like…lifeless, they simply, do NOT reflect back, LIGHT!! Her GLASSES, DO!!!
The Skank didn’t wear glasses DURING her trial, but she DOES all the time, NOW!! Do psychos reach a certain point, where their eyes, simply give them, AWAY??
I have a degree in science. I’ve studied, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, psychology…I’m not talking about, “flat affect” I’m talking about cold, dull, lifeless, shark-like eyes!!

I do believe they are putting glasses on this psycho slut to try and counter all the naked, slutty pictures of her and make it seem as though there is so much more to her then those photos.
I have a degree in “Visual Communication” and although I mostly use it when creating graphics and animations for TV…as an Art Director…I have also used these same skills in coming up with WARDROBE specs for anchors and talent…who speak to specific demographics.
For instance…News anchors for shows that go out to a younger audience are encouraged to dress more casual…less formal…T-shrts with no tie and jackets…woman wearing more casual dresses and even jeans with a nice jacket…etc…etc…etc
Glasses have one use and one use only…and it is exactly what you think it is…to make a person appear more intelligent then they are…period.
I am absolutely sure they are trying to take some of the “skank” off of her by having her suddenly look like the prison librarian….while at the same time send a subliminal image to the jury that she is far too smart to make the stupid mistakes that she actually did.
I just hope this jury is not full of idiots as most juries seem to be.

Hello all…had my post almost done and I accidentally clicked on the wrong thing and cancelled myself out…I too have bee watching the JA trial a bit..time for the cross..the defense is going way too slow.I have also noticed her eyes.I don’t get the creeps very easily but I do with her eyes…she is so cold and calculating.The soft spoken demeanor and calmness very telling.She is a stalker if ever I have seen one.The tons of evidence should be more than enough to convict her.Hopefully the jury has functioning grey matter between their ears.I understand that the jury are all men and 1 woman.Please correct me if I am wrong.I just hope the men don’t get sucked into her fake charm . It is chilling to see how much alike she and Casey are,and it appears that Jodi’s defense mabe have been in touch with Bozo and using some of his BS?
The Jody Arias Case is covered on the Media for Big Ratings just like the Anthony Case. We know now that Sex, Murder and Controversy sells.
There is however a Difference between those two Cases, the Anthony Case was thrown in our Face for 3 Years on a daily Basis before it even came to the Trial. The Anthony Case was a Circus put it mildly, it was full of Lies and Cover Up by the Felon, her Parents, Brother, Defense and whoever else supported that Excuse of a Human Being.
I am following the Jody Arias Case and I do realize she is guilty of that heinous Crime by her own Admission, at the same time I do like to follow this Case to the End and I am curious how she got to that Point of no Return when she committed that Crime.
Watching Jody Aries doesn’t infuriate me like the Felon did, I am able to watch Jody A. and listen to what she has to say without getting over the top angry.
There will be People who can identify with what she was feeling up to the time the Crime occurred. Make no Mistake I do not condone what that Woman did, however I can understand some of what she expresses on the Stand.
Do we know if she is lying on most of her Statements on the Witness Stand, I don’t believe all of it is a Lie.
I am sure the Defense is taking Notes from the Anthony Case to see what will work.
The Defense in this Case all they really can hope for that Jody Aries will be convicted of a lesser Charge than Murder One.
I believe the Use of the Theory of Self Defense in this Case will be hard to prove by the Defense when You go by All the Evidence the Prosecution will present which will show the Opposite of Self Defense.
We just have to wait and see. I do believe this Jury in this Case might come up with the
just Verdict in this Case unlike in the Anthony Case. How likely would it be that there is another Jury of 12 Idiots like it was the Case in the Anthony Case.
I do not believe Jody Aries will get the DP but she will be convicted.
I could be wrong, God knows I was very wrong in the infamous Anthony Case.
Hilde, that’s exactly what I would like to know, Arias had moved away from Alexander and away from the relationship.
What happened to push her over that edge? I’m not condoning her actions either, but it does seem that Alexander played with her and her emotions.
This case might be a big lesson in relationships, there are abusers out there and there are also stalkers, as well as overly ‘needy’ people.

Hilde…I understand what you are saying about the Arias case…and I agree…in spite of what she did I am not as enraged as I am over what the mule faced skank did.
First of all mule mouth killed a helpless innocent child who never did anything to any body…and relied on her to protect her…coward doesn’t even begin to describe what she did…second…it’s the difference between being afraid of a diabolical person with a gun as opposed to a stupid person with a gun.

When you throw in the COVER UP and the FAMILY…and everything else associated with mule face…it is far more enraging.
Despite the fact that Jodi Arias murdered Travis in cold blood…you do still want to know what made this happen. It’s a matter of curiosity more then anything else IMO.
I have no idea if Travis was playing with JA or not…but for some people even the slightest amount of contact is too much…and sometimes people’s egos are inflated by the idea that someone is obsessed with them.
From what I know so far…she sounds like a classic stalker and he sounds like a normal male. She IS pretty and she DOES present her self surprisingly well.
Sounds like she may have a hiccup of the brain..like most stalkers. She can’t focus on anything else but her rage towards him…and once she was focused on Travis…that was the end of it…she couldn’t control her thoughts…and that long period of time was just time she spent scheming, stewing, plotting, planning and whipping herself into enough of a frenzy to execute her plan.
I am looking forward to the cross and I have to say…I am not expecting justice in this case…I am just very curious how this psycho is going to be able to control herself during this cross. By all accounts the prosecutor is amazing…i’ve seen him sitting on the side lines looking like a pit bull and also heard people say he’s taking notes.

Do you really believe Jody Arias when she says she was attacked by Travis Alexander? she killed him in self defence? I do not believe this. This is the only excuse she can use because all the evidence points to her being obsessed, jealous, and a cheap nut case who deserves to get the death penalty. Jody Arias stalked Alexander when that did not work she threw sex at him. Jody is one of these nut cases who will not let go. Jody would be a liability on the tax payer in an institution. How could any one do what she did which, was premeditated? Think about it. If Alexander was a womanizer get rid of him there are many men on this planet. Lou-Hi!! Arias jury is comprised of 11 men 7 women. I do like the idea the jury can ask questions of the witness,sure hope they ask her,but those questins are read by the Judge then the Attorneys to see if relevant. But,I too,can’t wait for Juan Martinez gets to cross-examine her. I believe she’s going to crumble,we got a sneak preview when Juan asked her about the email. The similarities between her & Anthony is scary!!

With regards to the email, the questions posed by Martinez was the one email she supposedly sent to Abe to end their friendship at the request of Travis. He was questioning her, as the header of the email was to Travis, it didn’t show it going to Abe,but at the bottom of the email it said,”bbc”,he asked her what that meant,she said,”blind carbon copy” but apparently it showed nothing going to Abe. until finally I tuned off JJ and listened to JA until the end of day.
I realized that we were right up to point…the moments before the murder…so I figured I might as well watch.
That whole “story of the road trip” was exactly like the “story of the simm card” that skank went on about. Confuse…confuse…confuse…and then confuse some more. Be sure and talk as fast as possible so people can’t keep up and go down as many side roads as you can.

Linda-Hi!!Yeah her road trip to was quite the excursion. She borrows Darryl Brewer’s gas cans because,gas in California was $4.78 per gallon,that’s why she took the gas cans,huh!! Then she proceeds onward,talks to Matt and makes arrangements to meet him and a friend,they go to a restaurant,have appetizers,then go to a karaoke bar,then go back and crashes at Matt’s house. Gets up next morning then starts her trip to Mesa,all the while she talks to Travis,he encourages her to come by,at first she resisted,then when he talked sweet to her she says okay,yada,yada,yada.
The day of the murder per her,there are many gaps,it was an awful day she says. But not so awful to have a sex marathon she had with Travis. She claims she packs her car up,but, decides to come back into his house(she’s so afraid of him) and Travis was upset with her,as she gave him scratched cd’s of a trip they were on together,he grabs her by the arms spins her around,then bends her over his desk in his office,he pushes his body up against her,and then she says,sex always made him happy,so she agreed. But they both then decide to go back upstairs and take some more pictures. She testified she was so afraid of him that she would shake while on the phone with him in Yreka,Ca,but not afraid to go to his house,or get out while she had the chance when she packed up her car. This is a classic case of her being a master manipulator,she knew how to push his buttons and used sex to reel him in.
Nurmi asked her about the robbery at her grandparents house,she said she didn’t take the gun. Funny,Travis was shot with the same gun though. She claims Travis ties her up to have sex,claims he got the knife from his kitchen knife block. When she was asked where Travis put the knife after he untied her,she can’t remember,the nightstand or the bathroom. Very odd,she could remember how many ice cubes she had in an ice tea years ago,but not that.
Nurmi is dragging this out for as long as he can,but,she now has to face the inevitable,why and how she slaughtered/butchered Travis. I think she’s going to say she doesn’t remember,I blacked out. Can sense that coming.Can’t wait for Martinez to get his hands on her. She’s had constant eye contact with this jury,but when it came to her grandparents robbery of the gun,down goes her head,and she says no.Shifty in so many ways,her lies are now catching up with her.

The number of inconsistencies in today’s testimony? Too many to count!! I kept WAITING for a MOMENT, in all the days, she yammered on and on, where we could BELIEVE that he did ANYTHING, that would suggest that she had reason to FEAR him. NONE!
I tried to place myself , on that jury. The mostly MALE jury, and remember every explicit detail of EVERY sexual encounter, she had from the FIRST time. This is what THEY will remember.
She SUFFERED through EVERY encounter they had!! (eye roll) Even when she CLAIMED their encounters were consensual!!! NOT ONCE did she admit that SHE wanted it as much as he did. NOT ONCE!!! Oh, the HORRORS, he put her through!! To please him…so that she wouldn’t make him MAD!! The MEN WILL remember THAT!!
Then…the audio tape!! The one the defense INSISTED they play!!!

Another one of her lies,Travis supposedly kicked her in the ribs,then broke her left ring finger. But,as she testifies,she uses her both hands when talking,and it surely isn’t bent. I don’t believe her finger was broken. But, Nurmi asked her to hold her hand up and show the jury and her finger was bent to “prove” it was bent and broken by Travis during an argument.She went on to say that she suffers from arthritis in it now.
Nurmi is just talking,talking, and oh so slowly,she’s about 2 hours away from telling the jurors what she did to Travis,this I believe is where she’ll have selective memory. She has smeared Travis’ reputation with no ecidence to back-up when she’s saying. These jurors,IMHO,have probably turned her off by now,it’s been 7 long days of her droning on and on about their relationship,which she was a willing/consensual partner. Hopefully the defense will rest today,and Martinez will get his turn,this isn’t going to be pretty for her.

A couple of things – I know someone who fell and broke the same finger as Jodi, had it set, and it did not heal correctly, looks exactly like Jodi’s finger, and it does give her pain. But of course, we don’t really know how Jodi damaged that finger, it wasn’t proven.
Remember Jean Harris, who shot the Scarsdale diet doctor, and Betty Broderick, who shot her ex husband and new wife – I believe they both stated that they were going to commit suicide, but both shot their exes instead.
Jean Harris served 12 years (I believe) and Betty Broderick has served more than 20, with several more to go.
Strange how some women (and men too for that matter) have to make a life-or-death situation out of relationships!

One of the points she has scored is showing Alexander up as a little twisted, demanding, and did not treat Arias well at all – I don’t condone what she did, lots of women have been in horrible relationships and just left. I think he definitely knew she would come running whenever he called. Waiting to hear her explanation of what triggered her, and why she couldn’t just let it go and went off the deep end like that – he certainly didn’t deserve what she did to him.

I am following this Case from the Beginning to the End however I promised myself I will not get caught up in this Case mentally and emotionally like I did with the Anthony Case.
The Anthony Case was such a Letdown when it came to Justice that I honestly have to admit I do not have much Faith when it comes to Court Cases and Justice for the Victim.
It seems to me whoever plays the Part Best should it be the Prosecutor or the Defense will win, therefore Justice and the Truth has very little to do in those Cases.
I will just sit back and see what the Outcome will be in this Case. JMO

Linda, I feel the same way as You, I lost my Trust in the Jury System. I would think in the JA Case there will be a Conviction however I don’t believe she will get the DP.
My Husband is very passionate about this Case and keeps on saying, “She is going to fry!”, I explained to him, that won’t happen.
I asked him how come You weren’t as passionate about the other Felon who got away with Murder, he said, that One should have got the DP too. Oh well, at least we agreed on that One lol.
I am watching the JA Trial, what I have seen so far, there are quite a few Inconsistencies in her Stories she is telling on Direct.

I despised and still despise the Felon for what she did to her own Child and got away with Murder to live her Life eventually the Way she wants too with the Help of All those Enablers surrounding her.
I realize Jody Arias committed a heinous Crime and it doesn’t matter what Jerk the Victim was, he didn’t deserve what she did to him. Their Relationship seems to me was a toxic One put it mildly. Either One of them had a Chance to get out of it but chose not too for one Reason or another. Jody did what she did and now has to deal with the Consequences. It will be up to the Jurors to see that Justice will be done.
For some Reason Jody Arias doesn’t get under my skin as bad as the Felon did and still does, that doesn’t mean I condone what Jody A. did, it was wrong, however I can see
why some one would be pushed to the Limit mentally to have thoughts of hurting the Person who again and again is hurting You, the Difference is most People would not back up those Thoughts with Action and remove them selfs from that toxic Situation and move on.
It just isn’t worth it to ruin Your own Life and end up in Prison for the Rest of Your Life or worse because You get caught up in a very bad Relationship.
We All have Choices, in this Case Jody Arias made the wrong Choice and ruined her Life by taking Alexanders Life, not to mention the families on both Sides.
The Jury has a Job to do and I hope they will do a better Job than the Fools in the Anthony Case, who were an Embarrassment to our Legal System. JMO

An update on the Shaniya Davis murder -
Mario McNeill, the man who murdered little 5 year old Shaniya, will be going on trial in April 2013.
Antoinette Davis, the monster mother who sold little Shaniya to McNeill for a drug debt, will go on trial after McNeill.
McNeill is also facing way more charges than murder and rape.

Shaniya was such a precious beautiful Child, it was heartbreaking what was done to that precious Child. Shaniya’s Mother doesn’t deserve to be called a Mother to any Child. She was pregnant at the time of her Arrest, I hope she will never be able to see that Child again, she doesn’t deserve to have a Child. As for the Monster who killed little Shaniya, I hope he will get the DP!
One article I read stated that little Shaniya’s arms had scars on them, from cigarette burn marks -

I have been playing with the “puppet tool” in my animation program. You can make the faces move around etc…etc…
I already know how to make the eyes blink…and create joint movement…but that takes a while to set up so I decided to go “Southpark” with my first animation…just to get the FEEL for it.
I need to practice more with the “puppet tool”…but the beauty of the whole thing is…once I get their basic faces animated…and all of their legs and arms built…I can move them around like puppets…I can change the hairstyles and the clothes and put them in all kinds of different situations…
like on Judge Judy…
or locked up in an Ocean Woods condo together…
after George has died of a “household accident”…
and C&C have moved in together and are enjoying the insurance payoff…
and somebody gets a bowl of Squirrel stew!!!!

You know Jersey..I’m writing a book right now (have been researching it for 7 years)…about a series of murders that took place between 1931 and 1969…
I have linked one suspect to all of the murders and am putting all of my research into a book.
I’m only telling you this because THIS GUY (the guy I am researching)…he loved “codes, cyphers, code-speak” etc…etc…etc…too! As a matter of fact…without giving too much of my research away…I can prove…through FBI files…handwriting samples and a whole bunch of other stuff…that he went on to become the Zodiac.
I will talk more about my book once I finish the proposal and shop it around because I am creating a documentary to go with it explaining how I found all of this stuff out…etc…etc…blah blah I’ve been working on this amazing story for 7 years now…(I want the FBI to compare his fingerprints and dna and I will bet anything it’s HIM)…
ANYWAY…
When I read that JA had sent a “secret message” in a magazine article it caused chills to go down my spine…and I thought of skank…and that whole family…my “killer” in my book…and I wondered…
is this a characteristic of sociopaths who seem to live in their own fantasy worlds?
Are they ATTRACTED to things “like this”…ie: “secret messages”….”code speak”…etc…because it makes them feel more “magical” and as if they know things everyone else does not.
The man in my book DEFINITELY knew things that everyone else didn’t and got off on that…
I never really made the connection to all that “code speak” and “cypher” stuff until I read that about Arias…
look at the “Happy Faced Killer” or “BTK”…using a “pictogram” to “sign” his work and BTK an acronym with a “logo”…
Yes I think an article about that would be fascinating to write…I can compare the creepy Anthony family with all of these other psychos…I bet with some research I could find lots of socios that like to live in little “spy-like” worlds…playing “secret agent” and adding to the mystique of their fantasy life…

OMG – Linda, you just named my FAVORITE subject, the ZODIAC killer -
I’ve seen many shows on it, numerous suspects, I know Arthur Lee Allen was a favored suspect, but still no absolute proof.
One show I saw, put together some dna samples from the actual evidence & sent it to San Francisco, for their evaluation -
I wonder if it’s the person you are writing about. I’ve never heard if San Francisco LE confirmed that sample or not.
And the ‘Zodiac’ movie with Jake Gylenhaal was excellent, Robert Graysmith (I’m sure you are aware he was the San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist for a time) wrote a few books on the case, fascinating! All those cyphers the Zodiac made up, and I think some of them are still not decoded? Zodiac also said he put his name into the first cypher, the whole case is so interesting.
I will be at your first book signing in NYC, it will be an honor to read your findings! Cannot wait!
And an article on the A’s, listing all their speaking in code, would be fascinating as well.
Jersey…I NEVER set out to find “the Zodiac”…ever…ever…ever…
that was NOT my intention when I began researching this man. I began researching him in connection with another “famous” murder.
I too believed that Arthur Lee Allen WAS most probably the Zodiac!
Sold!
I believed it!
Case closed!
But the more I did my research…and the more the facts ket piling up…and the more handwriting matches I got…and the “similarities” in all of the crimes…etc…etc…
I then learned that the FBI had compared Allen’s DNA and had EXCLUDED Allen as a suspect…
The FBI stated as fact…it’s NOT Allen.
That’s why it took me so long to finally figure out that my guy was the Zodiac…I thought it was Allen too!
Suddenly I realized…I at least have to ELIMINATE the possibility…and as I began to gear my research towards finding out of HE was the Zodiac…
suddenly the floodgates opened and the evidence came pouring into my arms…in bucket loads!
I think my book is going to BLOW everyone’s MIND!!!
When you are focused on the right person…you don’t have to look that hard to find facts to support your theory…THE FACTS FIND YOU!
That’s what happened to me.
I am working on a proposal with an Editor right now. She lives in NYC and knows a lot of people in publishing…I have also many met people living out here that work for big publishing companies.
When I get through with my proposal…I have people to show it to.
I am hoping to shop it this summer and fall.
I never set out to find the Zodiac…HE FOUND ME…
if I wasn’t such a true crime freak though…I would have never figured it out.
The FBI has the Zodiac’s DNA and they have his fingerprints.
My guy was cremated…and I KNOW he did this to destroy all evidence of who he really was and his crimes…
but guess what?
He was a TWIN…and his TWIN died at birth (part of his “issue” imo he had damage at childbirth…including a DROOPY eye!)
It’s HIM…I have mountains of proof…if the FBI just compares it’s going to be HIM.
It’s one of the reasons I don’t want too much attention from this blog and like to keep the blog on the “down-low”…I don’t want to be known for having a blog that is “Anti-Casey Anthony…System…Jury etc..etc..”
I don’t ant my name associated with the Anthony case.
I want to be known for what I have done…and that is solve a huge puzzle that no one else has…

the Showdown between Martinez and JA was interesting say the least. JA must think she knows how to handle Martinez and was too cocky when she thought she had an answer for everything, that might be her downfall, I don’t think her Attitude is helping her any.
Too many lies in her statements which I am sure Martinez will bring out in the open, he already has a good Head Start. I believe Martinez despises JA for what he knows she has done and now is lying about every Chance she has to try to make it look like she had no other Option because she just defended herself against the evil Travis, who as we know can’t defend himself any more.
Next week should be interesting, I wonder how long JA will last till Martinez backs her up in a Corner with no way out. Will she still have that smirk on her face then, I wonder!
Hey Linda, That is to trippy that your doing a book on the Zodiac killer! I have Been obsessed ( for lack of a better word) over that case since i was a little girl! I was born in Washington D.C, lived there till i was 6 years old. Then we moved to Northern Calif in 1966. We lived in Sacramento when the killings started, in fact not far from Vallejo, Calif. I remember being so scared as a kid, there was such a heightened sense of fear all around me. When the Zodiac sent a letter to the S.F Chronicle saying he was going to start picking off the little kiddies as they were coming off the bus, i was around 9 years old at the time but remember it like it was yesterday! To this day whenever i hear a certain songs from the late 60′s i think of the Zodiac! I am 53 years old now, but will never forget how freaked out everyone was during those couple years. Wow! Cant wait to read your book!

What a small world! My parents lived in Falls Church when I was growing up and my Dad eventually retired from the force and got into the building business and our family moved out to Fairfax by the time I was a teenager.
I never was that interested in the Zodiac…maybe because it wasn’t as creepy to me as “Ed Gein” or Ian Brady and Myra Hindley…the Manson Gang…etc.
what put me on to it was the LETTER WRITING…taunting the police and using the exact same language as in the letters written by my suspect in other crimes…some of them well known…and some of them forgotten.
Once I began to consider that he might be the zodiac all hell broke loose in my research and suddenly all the pieces fell into place.
My editor is VERY excited about it…she’s around our age…(I’m about the same age you are…a little older…lol)
but everyone I’ve shard my research with is literally blown away!
I am going to start a blog about it once I am able to get a book deal…that’s what the publishers want you to do…start getting the word out.
But I have so much to share that I can’t put in the book because I don’t want to confuse people.
Zodiac was a serial killer…who started killing in 1931 (when he was just 16)…he has killed his entire life and gotten away with it.
Zodiac can’t have normal relationships…I get into this in my book…he is very sick and can only get off on killing people and masturbating over the terror and power he has.
In the summer of 1966…after getting away with murder his whole life… Zodiac came under investigation by the FBI for serious financial crimes that was committing.
That’s when the killings began.
As soon as the FBI investigation ended into his financial crimes…the killings and letters stopped…but that’s ony a small part of what I found out.
So many things will make perfect sense to anyone who has followed the case…the GERMAN connection…the MIKADO connection…the Cyphers and Codes…the military connection…it’s ALL THERE.
He did it.
I’m so excited that people are still interested!
I am working so hard on this book…it really is the most important thing I’ve done in my life. IMO he killed a whole bunch of people…maybe even over a hundred…he was a monster and his threat about killing children was a very REAL one!
He became the Zodiac because he was afraid that the FBI was going to find out about all the other murders he committed.
They DID NOT make the connection…and the connection was THERE had they looked. They thought they just had financial crimes…they never looked any further then his finances.
In 1966 Zodiac stole almost a million dollars and just like now his lawyer postponed the case and exhausted the system…until 1970…when all he paid for his crime was a $600 fine.
After that…the killings stopped and only the occassional letter…because he had gotten away undetected yet again.
But during that investigation he was in a panic and because of it acted out…Serial killers often become SPREE killers later in life when they are under pressure…
that’s exactly what happened.
You’ll recall that Zodiac stated “you will NEVER catch me.”
He didn’t say “catch me if you can” or “try and catch me”…he said the police never would catch him.
He knew they wouldn’t.
He died of natural causes in 1977.
So much more to tell…the adventure of my life for sure!

Just reading your info about the Zodiac makes my heart beat a little faster, LOL That was such a big case here back in the day. I have read the books on him and have seen a few movies as well. I think that is what got me started on mystery books, loved trying to figure out who dunnit. It started with Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys etc when i was a little kid and then the first true crime book i read was Helter Skelter ( that was intense ) when i was around 13- 14 years old. I have read lots of true crime books and of course followed all the popular murder cases. I missed my calling cause i really think i would of been a good detective or investigator. anyway, just the little bit you have shared is blowing my mind! I can’t wait to read your book! I honestly can say that this is the HARDEST thing I have ever done.
I never ever ever expected to get actual answers to any of my questions…but began researching a very old murder that I had always been fascinated with.
It was a murder that my grandfather and my Dad told me about when I was a little girl.
I had no idea that there was a main suspect…a number one suspect in that murder. So…I started researching him…
I found that where ever this man went…people were murdered…and they died in a very distinctly bizarre way…people close to him…people in business…that he went to school with…
his first wife…his SISTER…the list goes on…
As you might imagine…the Zodiac’s earlier crimes were very strange and…there were letters sent.
There is a signature here.
As I gathered more and more information on this guy…I became addicted to the adrenaline rush of being RIGHT all the time. I followed a lot…and I mean a lot of blind alleys…
but wow…
when you realize that you are onto something…and your research is coming back as a hit…and it’s just one more unbelievable moment when you realize it’s him…it’s GOT to be him…
it’s thrilling!

The problem is…now I have virtual mountains of research and actual proof… to sift through and find the STORY that it tells.
I don’t want my book to read like a book report…on this date this happened…and this happened on this date and here are the technical handwriting comparisons.
It’s hard because it’s a huge puzzle that was left by this killer…lots of work a head of me.
How could he ever know in 1966… that in 2006 I would be able to access all sorts of data bases via the computer… right from my living room… and find out about his entire life?
How could he know about DNA in 1966…newspaper archives and online geneology resources?
I have the advantage of the “bird’s eye view.” I can see all of the murders…how they are connected…and how they are connected to him.
What I never thought about was the RESPONSIBILITY of knowing who this man is and knowing that I can prove it.
It has to be the very best I can make it.
It’s important. He killed a lot of people…now I have to do the information justice.
That being said…I am STILL discovering things about him that are blowing me away…it is so hard not to go down these paths and see if they lead anywhere…it’s such a thrill….like treasure hunting…and when you are focused on the right person…you very often get a hit on another murder or another connection to a murder that you already know about…it’s so exciting.
I have to stay focused.

I remember very well the Mary Bell case and have the book here upstairs. Extremely creepy.
Her alcoholic mother tried to kill her when she was a baby…dangled her out the window and fed her poison…reportedly said “Get that thing away from me” when she was born…etc…etc…
and then prostituted her out as a young girl…when she was 8 or 10 (can’t remember) she tag teamed with another little girl who had a bad background and they killed 2 toddlers in the neighborhood and literally “played” with the dead bodies…cutting the hair off and cutting the little boys.
Makes me wonder how many times Cindy has tried to kill the skank growing up…(like she did the night babykiller murdered Caylee) and whether that was why the killer thought it was just okey-dokey to murder Caylee because…Cindy had tried to kill her so many times before.
Wouldn’t surprise me.
Then you have the chicken or the egg syndrome.
Psychologists will say that the reason all kids kill is because of abuse from their own past…but then you have to wonder…
if some kids are not just born “evil”…ie: without compassion or remorse, sociopathic, brain damaged, psychotic, chemically imbalanced…or just plain old mean spirited?
I wonder if some kids just aren’t bad seeds…like Rhoda Penmark in the movie.
Maybe their mothers drank during pregnancy…took dangerous prescription drugs during the pregnancy…or just had other mental or physical issues that caused the child’s brain or body chemistry to be malformed…

I’ve tried not to get too involved in the JA case – just read here and catch a few nights of Nancy to catch up. I have a few questions on the JA case. Is the Jury sequestered in a hotel? I thought they proved the gun was her grandfathers? What’s up with her saying she found it in Travis’s closet? This case seems like a slam dunk for the prosecutors…..but then again…so did Skanks.
