   Rumsfeld was CEO of Searle when Aspertame approved. Made 12M when sold to Monsanto. Aspertame made from waste of e-coli. What’s wrong with that? Many people enjoy modified e-coli poop and fetal cell drinks. Tasty AND nutritious.

2. I watched the HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee), chaired by Joe McCarthy, as a youth. The threat of communist/socialist influence within government and industry, was/is real, however the abrasive and abusive demeanor of the hearings, spawned a backlash of sympathy particularly for Hollywood writers and actors, ie Dalton Trumbo et al…

   McCarthy and J. Edgar Hoover, were right regarding the threat, but wrong in their enforcement hysteria. The academy award winning movie “High Noon”, was a metaphorical response to those heavy handed hearings…JMHO

3. Bought a couple of books on McCarthy. I thought he was a bad guy. Can’t hardly keep up with all the info!
